How to apply

We receive a large number of applications every year and we consider each one on it merits. On average, we attract over 170 trainee applications every year. 2010, when we received nearly 250 applications, was our busiest year so far in terms of trainee selection. Impressive for a firm with just under 250 staff!

By following our trainee application process carefully you will help us assess your application in the best way. Unfortunately applicants who fail to follow our application process may not be considered for traineeships, so please read these points carefully.

Setting the standard

We have high standards and expect the same from our trainees. We are looking for highly enthusiastic, ambitious, innovative individuals who are dedicated, proactive and commercially aware. We are happy to receive trainee applications from anyone with suitable qualifications. All trainees are required to have a University degree at 2:2 or higher.

Understandably we receive a high volume of applications so we’re not able to accept general CVs as applications.

Tips for a successful application

We receive a high volume of trainee applications to work at Withy King and we want to view each application in the best light. You can improve your chances of your application being successful by avoiding the most common pitfalls:

don’t just copy and paste your answers from another application form!
take time on your answers and tailor them to the firm you’re applying to
think about what the firm you’re applying to is looking for and base your answers around that
check spelling, grammar and punctuation!
