I contacted Withy King following the national publicity surrounding organ retention for advice on the circumstances and results of the post mortem performed on my son. There had been a gap of over 20 years between the death and the discovery that organs had been retained. This time gap made the case quite complicated, but I am very grateful for the advice and representation given by Withy King and the Nationwide Organ Retention Group. In my case, the result has been a change in the law which should ensure that organs are not retained without family consent in the future. At a very upsetting time for me I was treated with utmost respect.
