Edward specialises in two distinct but related areas, Commercial Property and Charities, which have consistently earned him recognition as a “Leader in the Field”. Chambers UK 2012 says “Edward is deemed by the market to be a leading partner in the group…”
An eye for detail and determination to succeed in complex transactions make Edward a valuable addition to your team.
“I believe you can only provide the best possible service by really understanding your clients, their sector and what they need to succeed. Working at Board level for a number of clients has given me greater insight into the issues where I can really make a difference.”
Edward’s property experience has seen him acting for organisations with extensive property portfolios, working with clients such as the Berkeley Group and Hanson Plc on high profile deals.
The Charity Sector provided an early focus in Edward’s career when he was asked to advise the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) on a range of issues arising following the demise of its high profile founder, Sir Peter Scott. Now WWT is regarded as the UK’s leading environmental charity, with worldwide influence. Keeping the client up to date with recent changes in Charity Law and practice, Edward led the team which has completed a full risk management review for WWT and earned the feedback from the Finance Director that “service levels give the impression that we are your only client”.
