Although Gerry is based in our Bath office he has strong links with South Wales and the West Midlands, where he frequently visits clients.
Gerry is also a member of the Negligence Panel Referral Scheme run by the Solicitors Regulation Authority Consumer Complaints Service and so has experience of investigating claims against solicitors alleged to have been negligent in the conduct of a clinical claim.
He has been recommended as a "leading individual" in Chambers Directory since 1997/98, and in 1999/2000 he was praised for his "phenomenal attention to detail"; 2002/2003 "sources commended his work on complex cases" ; 2003/2004 " a solid and reliable solicitor"; 2004/2005 " a pretty astute player".
Chambers Directory 2007/2008 describes Gerry as "methodical and sensible" and quotes a client who says that he "is extremely good with his clients". Further commentary goes on to state that "armed with more than 30 years' experience in this line of work, [Gerry Ferguson] focuses on urology, psychiatry, cauda equina, infection and misprescription cases." In 2008/2009 Gerry was described as "understanding, considerate and extremely good," and in 2009/2010 Gerry is "recognised throughout the market as an accomplished medical negligence practitioner."
In 2004, Gerry was entered as a Legal Expert in Clinical Negligence in the Legal Experts 2004 Directory, to add to his entries in the Legal 500 and Chambers Directories following research carried out by independent bodies.
