Jon Toogood qualified in 1976 and has been a partner at Withy King since 1981.
Jon has specialised in family law for over 25 years. His approach has always been to put the clients’ best interests first, even if that means giving what may be perceived as unpalatable advice.
His many years of experience have taught him that in most cases issues are best resolved by constructive dialogue – hence his enthusiasm in qualifying as a Collaborative Practitioner - although he will not hesitate to protect his clients’ interest in Court should that be necessary.
He is an Accredited Resolution Specialist and has been recognised in the Legal 500 and as a leader in his field in Chambers where he has been described as “top drawer and super because he puts his clients’ interests to the fore while remaining open and honest”. He has also worked as a part time District Judge for 20 years. He is also a qualified Collaborative Practitioner.
A devoted family man, he likes nothing more than tending his garden, walking his much loved dogs and also watching his beloved Bristol City.
