Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and became a partner in the Oxford firm Marshall & Galpin in 2002. He joined the Family department at Withy King as a result of the two firms' merger in September 2008. Simon works out of the firm's Oxford and Abingdon offices (please see contact details below).
Simon specialises in family law including divorce, separation, financial matters (including high value and complex cases), pensions, DNA testing, cohabitation, pre-nuptial agreements and matters involving children. Simon has written numerous legal articles and provides training for local charities and organisations, he regularly appears on BBC Radio Oxford dealing with family law matters. He is a member of the management committee of the Abingdon Citizens' Advice Bureau and a director of Citizens' Advice Oxfordshire. Simon has also been involved in a number of high profile cases.
Simon invariably adopts a practical and sympathetic approach to resolving family problems and his experience enables him to bring a dynamic perspective to his work. Having specialised in matrimonial law for many years, Simon has built up a network of trusted experts, including tax advisers, forensic accountants and actuaries, whom he can call upon for specialist advice as and when appropriate.
Simon is a member of Resolution and divides his time between the Oxford and Abingdon offices.
