Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1997. He joined the Oxford firm Marshall & Galpin in 2004 and became a partner in 2007. He joined Withy King as a result of the two firms’ merger in September 2008.

Richard specialises in clinical negligence claims and is one of only a few solicitors to be on the Law Society’s Specialist Panels for both Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury as well as Action Against Medical Accidents’ (AvMA) Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel.

Richard holds Senior Litigator status at APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and is on the approved Personal Injury Solicitors List for Headway – The Brain Injury Association.

He has a broad range of expertise gained across all areas of medicine and deals with cases of all values from small to maximum severity. Richard is the Treasurer of the Oxford Medico-Legal Society.
