Partner
Richard is a Partner with Withy King and a senior member of the Family Law Team with over 35 years experience of Family Law. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1973 and is a Member of Resolution and a qualified Collaborative Practitioner.
He specialises in the financial and pension issues arising on divorce and separation, including high value and complex cases. He regularly deals with cases involving business assets, and related valuation issues. In January 2004, his expertise in these areas was recognised by the award of a Specialist Accreditation by Resolution in Financial Provision and Pensions.
As a Collaborative Practitioner, he is an advocate of the merits of Collaborative Practice as a means (in appropriate cases) of resolving disputes whether in relation to children or financial issues.
Richard has extensive experience in dealing with Pre-nuptial, Separation and Cohabitation Agreements.
Married with two grown up children, Richard lives in the Cotswolds and his interests lie with his family, walking, Petanque and gardening. He is President Elect of his local Rotary Club and has taken part in sponsored walks (including the classic Three Peaks Challenge) in order to raise funds for Rotary charities.
