Mark Phillips

Partner

Mark has over 12 years experience as a family lawyer and is a partner in the firm’s family law team in Oxford.

I see what a devastating effect a relationship breakdown can have on all family members, especially children. Over the years I’ve learned that the wider family group members sometimes get overlooked, such as grandparents who play such an important role in so many families.  The rights of grandparents have become one of my personal areas of interests over the years. In a divorce, there is a multitude of aspects to consider, and my aim is to get an amicable settlement where all parties are treated fairly.”

Independent legal directory Chambers and Partners UK 2012 recognises Mark as a ‘leader’ in his field and the family team in Oxford as “…“universally pleasant to deal with." Observers also praise the lawyers' resolution-driven and non-confrontational approach. The team's breadth and depth allows it to handle the full scope of family issues.”

'Mark Phillips is "very pleasant, very good with clients, sensible and clever." [he] has recently handled a number of matrimonial finance cases, and he has the ability to advise on prenuptial agreements, cohabitation and children matters. He also has particular expertise in collaborative law methods.' (Chambers and Partners UK 2013).
